You say "LOST gives the ISA total jurisdiction over all the international oceans and everything in them, from mineral rights to fishing rights to environmental protection."

Would that the "seas" were all of it! The ENORMOUS problem is in the last two words above -- it purports to regulate ANY POLLUTION that comes off the LAND EVERYWHERE that can drain into a river ANYWHERE that eventually flows to the sea. Shall we be cede our US EPA controls to a UN SUPER-EPA that can dictate to our farmers what pesticides and fertilizers (including manure) thay can use to produce food for the USA? Shall we replace our US Courts with a super-UN Tribunal (NO APPEALS ALLOWED) to rule on what fertilizers our farmars can use?
