What Is This on My Television?

Interesting article. But I think you're closing paragraph says it all. Standing in front of a billboard sized flat screen with the sound turned off you realize that this may have been the most pleasurable time you spent in front of a television all week. Welted private parts can put one off one's feed.

American hour-long shows, comedy or mystery usually are drecht. The BBC's recent Five Days was dynamite. Talk show wise, it"s a shame we can't see the Brit's true response to what you wonderfully called, 'genocidal religious supremacists'. Amis is a verbal fencer par excellence (d'accord?) and I'd love to see him slice up an interviewer, especially a pompous one. If I could make a suggestion, perhaps it would be better if you reported on English television vs. the present season which I think everyone agrees is awful.
