What To Expect

Mr. Halkin,

Thank you for being a voice of reasoned responsibility amid a chorus of spineless whambie-pampies!

For Israel this issue of a nuclear armed Iran is survival and possibly for Western civilization its the last chance for a degree of safety, security, and stability (if those ingredients still exist in this world). Personally, I think if someone sneezes incorrectly in the Middle East, from Turkey, Iran, Syria, Iraq, the Kurds, Hamas, Hezzballah, Palestinians, to Isreal, it could start another war. This would not be WW 3, but rather a limited nuclear, decisive, and quick knockout fight between Israel and Iran with her allies. The world would wake-up to it being over almost before it knows it started. The UN would rage, but the feat and defeat of Iran and her allies of terror would be over already. Devastating and horrible, but funding for terrorists would be cutoff at the roots. The world, while raging, might actually breathe a collective sigh of relief--less extremist terrorists worldwide as a collateral benefit from such a Middle East war. The USA might only be called upon to give Israel tactical support. Yes, oil prices might soar higher, but then they already are soaring. With Israel the victor, the Palestinians can finally have their statehood, because there will be plenty of available Syrian or Lebanese cheap land available after such a war.

One day the current rhetoric, half-truths and lies, and the insufficient action will errupt in a major war between these bitter and timeless enemies. After such a war the Muslim faith will also be freed from being held hostage by its current extremists and terrorists. Such a war will not create a utopia of peace on earth and good will toward men, but it will remove a large camp of terrorists and terrorist funding from the world stage for a time.

For the world the sword appears as its only known source of hope for 'peace,' but Jesus Christ offers the cross--a willingness to stand-up non-violently against injustice in the face of apparent insurmountable evil, even if it costs you your own life--unfortunately, the world does not choose His way, but keeps its swords handy and ready for use.

Thank you,

Ron Grosser
