It's hard to argue with someone with Dan Dorfman's credentials. however this column was written five months ago and while the market has had some short term reversals it keeps bouncing back. He did not mention the fact that the price of petroleum products may inhibit other buying by the public which in turn may force a recession. He also didn't mention that the world is awash in cash looking for a place to settle which may keep stocks from falling too much but may foster the current market volitility. Personally, I'm in a quandry. I'm old, fully invested in mutual funds, the market is close to its historic high. I expect a deep market drop, never try to time the market but I am considering going to cash until the new year or later. HELP.
