America, Britain Backing Turkey

I believe the Kurds should have an independent state in Iraq as was promised to them at the end of World War I. Having their own state, the Kurds would be expected to behave reponsably and abide by international law. Kurds who are not content to live in Turkey could then emigrate to their own country. The PKK would have no excuse to commit acts of terrorism against Turkey. The situation would be akin to the Palestinians having their own state.
