A Prodigy of Nature

The prospect of a Saint-Aubin exhibion is enough to delight any art enthusiast of the dix-huitiem, but to know it will be opening at the Frick is more of a Christmas present than a Halloween gift. One minor correction: It has not been 80 years since the last Saint-Aubin exhibition. A major exhibition of prints and drawings by Gabriel de Sint-Aubin was held at the Davison Art Center of Wesleyan University and the Baltimore Museum of Art from March thru June 1975. It was organized by Victor Carlson, Ellen D'Oench, and Richard S. Field. It was a National Endowment of the Arts project. This is not a complaint, just a minor correction. Excellent review.
