D. Nichols is the best shooter the Knicks have. He looked terrific in the Summer League.

The Knicks need him to open the floor. At 6-8, he is also athletic. Neither James nor Malik Rose will really contribute, so they should be bought out. James needs surgery anyway and will probably miss the whole season.

If Thomas lets D. Nichols go, he should be fired for that reason alone.

Then Malik Rose should be allowed to coach.
