Winning the Catholic Vote

Submitted by Mary Lou Welz, Oct 24, 2007 04:22

Mr. Flynn says he has an anecdotal sense of Catholic's political leanings from meeting them at speeches around the nation. That feeling may be supported by polling data. William D'Antonio, the coauthor of "American Catholics Today: New Realities of Their Faith and Their Church," conducted a nationwide survey of Catholic voters along with the Gallup Poll. In Mr. D'Antonio's sample, 82% of Democrats and 52% of Republicans, favored "more government funding to provide health care to poor children." In the 2006 congressional elections, Democrats won 55% of the Catholic vote.

THE ABOVE QUOTE MAKES IT APPEAR THAT HILLARY CLINTON (THE DEMOCRAT"S CANDIDATE) HAS AN ACTUAL VIABLE PLAN FOR HEALTH CARE FOR THE NATION'S POOR CHILDREN.

THAT IS HIGHLY ERRONEOUS. THE REPUBLICANS ARE BETTER EQUIPED TO KEEP OUR NATION HEALTHY ECONOMICALLY AND ALONG WITH THAT KEEP OUR NATION'S CHILDREN WELL FED AND HEALTHY.

NO ONE CAN HELP THE POOR ADVOCATING A CONTINUED SYSTEM OF WELFARE WHICH PREVENTS THEIR REAL AND PERSONAL ECONOMIC GROWTH. DEMOCRATS HAVE LEAD THE WAY TO POOR PEOPLE'S DESTRUCTION BY MORE ENTITLEMENTS.

CATHOLICS HEAR THE TINY TIM SYNDROME AND GET ALL EXCITED INSTEAD OF REMAINING LEVEL HEADED AND PROTECTIVE IN A CONSTRUCTIVE WAY TO PROVIDE FOR OUR CHILDREN. CATHOLIC PARENTS BY AND LARGE ARE NOT PROVIDING FOR THEIR YOUNG BY TA KING THE "DOLE."

CATHOLIC VOTERS WOULD BE WELL SERVED TO LOOK AT THE REALITIES AMONG THEMSELVES AND SEE THAT THEY MAY BE HOODWINKED BY THE DEMOCRATS HUNGER FOR ELECTION. THERE IS NO SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM WITH BUSINESS- AS- USUAL - DEMOCRATS.
