Without his fishy salmon sense we wouldn't know the difference between merely acceptable and perfect. I've had lots of lox in my life - and never knew what I would get. But I always know it will be perfect if I get it at Zabars. As for the whitefish salad - that on a perfectly toasted everything bagel would be my choice for a last meal - especially if served with a ripe tomato on top.
