Remember that woman who was prosecuted for abusing an Iraqi detainee? She got a couple years in a military prison.

This lieutenant colonel did what? Gave Saddam hair dye and cigars, and that's aiding the enemy? I don't know about hair dye, but cigars contain carcinogens. In that case, perhaps he should be tried for helping Saddam cheat the noose, although we all know that the effort failed.

Separation from the service with bad paper seems like a more appropriate punishment to me.
