Turkey Up in Arms Over House Resolution Against Armenian ‘Genocide'
in response to reader comment: So called Armenian Genocide

Submitted by Ara Gregorian, Oct 15, 2007 15:54

It is a sad and scary travesty to find the extent to which Turkish propaganda has reached. Denying that the Armenian Genocide took place is no worse than neo-Nazis or President Ahmadinejad questioning the authenticity of historical evidence on the Holocaust during World War II.

Turkey needs to face the facts. Documented proof in the form of orders by Talat Pasha to carry out the planned extermination of Armenians is only part of the indisputable evidence. Turkey, its government and its global influence with other nations cannot and SHOULD not be allowed this ongoing denial of a crime against humanity.

Germany faced up to its former milatiary dictator's order to wipe out Europe's Jewish population. What is Turkey afraid of? And why is the United States, supposedly the "most powerful nation in the world" afraid of Turkey's threats?
