Uhmmm, Yes!

If the city & state would allow working people to deduct our rent from our taxable income maybe businesses would not leave the city for places with lower costs of living (so that they could pay their employees less).

Opps! but without the tax revenue how would we pay the city workers??? What to do???

Uhmmm, build more housing??? Oh, but that would lower prices & hurt the landlords, who would then stop supporting the politicians! Oh the horror!!!

Yesss, bring on the real estate crash! Build, build, build!!!
