This news coming from the Middle East, and the upcoming summit, becomes more absurd with each passing day.

Rather than compromise (in fact, the Arabs have nothing to grant..it's all about Israel), the Palestinians are again asking for the moon. They still don't appreciate that they started 7 wars and to date, have lost all of them. (Had they won, there would be no talks today between the two sides).

What will happen is nothing will happen. The summit will end in disgrace, Israel will be blamed for all, Fatah will threaten to join Hamas, and Abbas and Erekat will typically fault Israel for not moving torward towards peace.

Syria will join in the loud protest about Israel's intransigence., as will the Arab League, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

The Arab propandists already have written their scripts.

Israel's mistake is not making it's own absolute red lines..including no division of Jerusalem, no right of return, Israel to retain the water rights, a demilitarized PALs state, the retention of virtually all the settlements, and sovereignty over any road link between the Strip and the West Bank. Israel will also retain possession of ITS HOLY SITES and access to them.

The idea of a summit, of negotiatins, is for both sides to negotiate

Israel again will seem the spoiler. Unfortunately, Olmert and Livni still don't get it.
