Tangible proof that the Nets are contenders? Are you joking..? I feel you should wait until the season starts to get an idea of what this team is about before you write this type of article, because you don't seem to remember what they've done as recent as last year. The Nets did better against the Cavaliers than the Pistons did..and they didn't even have their starting center. Yes Mikki stepped in admirably, but imagine if they had Krstic too. Anyway, if this is intended to get the Nets off to an unusual hot start, then I commend your efforts. However if this article is intended to be serious...well then you've lost the respect of a reader.
