I have been able to receive the full $2,000 lifetime credit for my son's tuition until now. My accountant informs me that unless congress acts to change the AMT before December, I will not be eligible for the lifetime credit in 2007. This is because I worked full time and part time to pay for private education. Something's wrong here.
