Right. I'm 3 months behind on my newly reset mortgage and can't manage one payment a month, much less pay off the backlog. Great time to by a new car, have the kitchen and baths redone, get new appliances and take a vacation. Look guys, we are eating mac and cheese, turning down the thermostat and buying the kids' clothes at Goodwill. Yeah, the "basic economy" is in great shape. Folks facing foreclosure don't spend any differently than they did before.
