GPS and/or ADS-B technology will not solve the problem with these airports. There are x number of runways. A runway can only handle n departures/arrivals per hour under GOOD weather conditions. GPS and ADS-B ONLY work once you are in the air. They will do nothing for the line of aircraft waiting to depart stacked up on a taxi-way. They will do nothing to allow more than one airplane at a time to land on a runway.

The problem is, the number of aircraft slated for arrival and/or departure is beyond the ability of the airport(s) in question to handle.

So the real question is, how many MBAs does it take to determine the volume of a container? This whole argument about non-50s RADAR technology does not address the real culprit: TOO many MBAs trying to schedule an excessive number of flights using smaller aircraft to ensure their compensation packages.
