I believe the Mets need to keep some savy veterans, but yes a little youth and energy is badly needed. Lo Duca, Orlando (who is 87 years old) Shawn Green, and yes, Glavine need to move on... I would trade any prospects except Gomez for a good, not yet star hitter, and get two average catchers in their 20's who can stay healthy. Mike Difalice and Sandy Alomar Jr in September, come on... Here is my team on MLB 2K7 I created, and it works:
SS Jose Reyes
RF Nick Markakus
3B David Wright
CF Carlos Beltran
1B Carlos Delgado (He will not have a horrible year again)
LF Lastings Milledge
2B Ruben Gotay (he earned it)
C Ramon Castro (injury risk, but there are no good free agents)
