Mets Need To Rethink Veteran Approach

A radical idea: move Dave Wright to 1B, say a sincere thanks to DelGado. Rational: Wright is an average 3bman; at 1b you eliminate his throwing errors and weak 3b play, but put the ball into safely in his hands 20 or so times a game [salve for his ego]; try to get one of the premier 3bman out there; use DelGado as tradebait for a 2nd line pitcher. Now do what you were going to do anyway --a premier pitcher and another big bat for the outfield.
