‘Lunacy'

As with most of his observations, Mikey is not far off the mark surely. In the past week the congress approved the fifth, yes that was the fifth, increase in the public debt during the watch of this president. Since 2001 our public debt limit has increased from 5.9 trillion to 9.5 trillion. This is extraordinary. George Bush has put on more debt than every president from Washington thru Reagan. During almost this entire period the Republican party has controlled all three branches of govt and have displayed an appetite for spending that makes Paris Hilton look frugal. Bloomberg stands for good governance whether it's Republican or Democrat. Apparently the Sun prefers Republican governance regardless of its competence and frugality.
