Yeah, the Rockies' winning streak is pretty exceptional, but I don't think it's right to dismiss them as a .500 team getting hot at the right time. They're 13 games over, not 8, and had been playing 4 or 5 games above .500 consistently before the streak. In fact, given their run differential they're now achieving the pace they should have set all year, not taking a mad wild card-enhanced dash at the playoffs as you assert.
