Twins Could Power U.S. to Finals Win

Tom's excellent column on the Bryans identifies the misconceptions that casual fans have with the intricacies of doubles play. Since most recreational tennis players seem to play doubles, I'd like to know the results of the market research which informs TV coverage (whether it be cable or network) regarding broadcasting Bryan Bros. matches...despite their invicibility and their deserving accolades as great American athletes, they're nearly invisible on television...about the only time you'll see a doubles match on TV is a 'fold in" to view the set point..then it's back to coverage of singles. Does market research show that most tennis viewers, despite their doubles play, have no interest in watching the pros?
