While Cuomo may be standard Albany-think as a replacement Senator--if and when Ms. Clinton succeeds--why wouldn't Eliot try a repeat of the Clinton Succession Plan? Name Silda Senatrix and parlay her Washington ties for his own putative Presidential ambitions?

Silda has been going out on more press junkets than Patterson for some time. Perhaps, Patterson has gotten sucked into the Bruno Imbroglio; whatever, he's nowhere to be seen lately.
