Thank you, Mr. Nordlinger. Beverly Sills' voice was medicine for me, having gone through severe emotional problems in years past. Her voice rippled with joy--and that joy permeated my psyche. I also greatly admire her dedication to the arts--particularly to Lincoln Center. She gave of herself to humanity. That is the essence of religion--godliness, in my personal view.
