Thank God for men like Abu Risha. But the tragic error of attributing His providence to mere human spirit and having that and martyrdom as the basis for our will never to relent against the enemy of liberty is not one the Founding Fathers would have made or even comprehended as they understood that without open acknowledgement of our dependence on Him we would be totally destroyed by our own folly; it is His sheer mercy alone that the destruction is only partial so far. www.desiring God.org gives a more accurate perspective as to the joys of God-centered reality compared with the dangers of today's egoistic counterfeits.
