in response to reader comment: Self-determination for Taiwan

Submitted by James Chou, Sep 14, 2007 15:06

George W. Bush and the State Department's siding with Beijing to bully Taiwan fuels the aspiration for a stronger Taiwan identity and their visibility in the global village.

The continued political pressures from The People's Republic of China and the U.S.A. help the world community to take a much closer look of the grievance, a systematic geopolitical apatheid orchestrated by Beijing but aided by the U.S. for the past 3 decades, the 23 million Taiwanese have been forced to put up with.

Let the Taiwanese people tell the world what they want for themselves. And let us protect and preserve the basic human right of self-determination for all people, Taiwanese included.
