Losing a first round draft choice is a significant loss; except when you have two first round picks. This punishment would've been effective had Roger Goodell taken away their first round draft, period. That means no trades to get a first round pick or any other type of deals that would get them in the first round. The fines mean absolutely nothing because they will be paid for by the team(when is $750,000 a significant amount of money in the NFL?). The reality is that this punishment is not harsh, by any means. It was just designed to sound that way.
