1) They caught the guy with the camera before the end of the half...he didn't get a chance to bring the video to the Patriots' Offensive coaches. The Jets were soundly spanked without the benefit of those filched signals

2) Man-genius sandbagged his old boss Belichick. Getting soundly beat, he was well aware of the pats illegal tactics and saw an opportunity to exact some measure of satisfaction out of humiliating defeat.

He's been mum so far, because how can he really comment when he was surely aware of the Patriots modus operendi (re: stealing signals) before the game began? If he had concerns, shouldn't he have alerted the NFL prior to the game? Doesn't his silence/reluctance to tip off the League at some prior to the game (say sometime last year) prove or at least imply his duplicity in previous misdeeds when he was part of the Patriots organization?

It was well played on Mangini's part...it takes the heat off of his team's poor showing, weakens (for years potentially...losing draft picks) his chief divisional rival, and deals a staggering blow to his arch nemesis' legacy.

As a Pats fan, I have to concede they deserve whatever they get (don't do the crime if you can't do the time), but to say Mangini didn't have this in the back of his mind perhaps even before the game is the height of naiveté
