So let me get this straight. Grover here is suggesting that those wacky, misguided Democrats want to bankrupt, specifically, their left of center constituents via the gratuitously evil AMT while "conservative Republicans... want to kill the AMT because it's the right thing to do."

You know, I forgot that Grover Norquist was such a noble and benevolent non-partisan! Grover Norquist fights for the little guy, whether it's his modest "consulting fees" from thrice convicted felon Jack Abramoff or his modest comparison of the Holocaust to the estate tax on NPR.

Concern for middle income earners was why Norquist founded the Janus-Merritt Strategies lobbying firm with liar and obstructionist David Safavian. I firmly believe that this op-ed was duly researched and fairly prepared. This is a man with no ulterior motives and truly no financial incentives in whom we should all place our trust.
