Moral of the Armenian Genocide

Submitted by Van Zakarean, Sep 8, 2007 18:23

As a grandson / son of those born in the Genocide time frame (1893-1923) wherein 5 million Christians (Armenians, Semitic Christian Chaldean Assyrians, Pontic and Ionian Greeks, and others) were uprooted and systematically destroyed, in a killing georgraphically smaller but kilometer-for-kilometer a denser killing than the Holocauast centered temporally around WWII, I must thank you and add that Turkish denial was omnipresent in your editorial. The Armenian Genocide is irrefutable and incontestible and inexcusable. Giving reasons for the killing of Jews and using Neo-Nazi denial figures of "100,000" or "a few hundred thousand, whilst millions of innocent German lads were killed" in an article by an Armenian would have activated the ADL against the author. Armenians, famished so badly for recognition, sincerely thank you for your article, and I join them, and merely am pointing out that the decades of Turkish denial have penetrated even into the ink of your most righteous pen. This piece is a small step for a well-read man and a giant leap forward for a warming of Jewish-Armenian relations, soured for decades with Israel's blind adherence to the abhorrent Genocide denial emanating from Ankara, a once-proud Greek Christian city not firmly in control of Muslim Turks who deny the Christian Holocaust centered around World War 1. I thank you, and I respect your courage.
