‘Don't Not Ask - and Do Tell'
in response to reader comment: Declaration of Principle

Submitted by Michael Bazdresch, Sep 5, 2007 23:24

I think it a sad commentary that the only two responses I see requard the issue as discriminatory and homophobic. I do believe I can support making a bold statement of "One of our tenets is that Homosexuality is wrong. So wrong that we cannot allow the practice to infect our children with confussion and temptation do things the Lord forbids." I think this an entirely appropriate statement to make. Yet it is not the business of government to interfere with peoples religious beliefs, even if most homosexual people I know are honest, caring, understanding, and sensitive people, we are still dealing with a pervasion of nature and Gods law that should exclude them from being hired by schools; especially religiously sponsored schools.
