Toxicology studies show that styrene, a possible carcinogen and endocrine disruptor, can move into food and drink within as little as ten minutes of exposure. The migration of contaminants is dependent upon temperature and fat content. For our health, polystyrene (seen as styrofoam and plastic #6) should be banned across the entire country!
