Moral of the Armenian Genocide

Hillel, great article! The sham organization ADL and it's like, claim to be neutral in regards to the Armenian Genocide yet have spent years not only helping the Turks deny the fact that 1.5 million Armenians were systematically exterminated but have gone to great lengths, especially here in the US and Great Britain, to kill any formal recognition of the worst crime against humanity. The purely opportunistic Foxman now suggest a joint committee between the Turks and the Armenians to hammer this one out. (Why don't we also invite the German Nazi party, who still claim no holocaust took place, to roundtable with Jewish representatives to iron that one out? That to me is equally as ridiculous.) Part of the reason the Turks murdered most all of the Armenians wasn't just nationalistic, phobic ideology but was also economicaly motivated. The Armenians were generally well to do and the Turks didn't like that. Thinking they were superior and no minority has a right to anything under Turkish rule, they felt it was their duty, and WW1 was a perfect cover and opportunity to kill all the Armenians and steal their money and lands. Today, as an Armenian descendent of genocide survivors, I ask you, what strategic, economic or political gain is worth denying the near total murder of a race of people? In doing so you are asking for history to repeat itself and seriously deminish any credability these Genocide denying oraganizations and states have.
