Colonel John Ripley deserves the Congressional Medal of Honor for his courageous action at the Bridge at Dong Ha, slowing the North Vietnamese 1972 Easter Offensive.

The recommendation for it, as I have been told, was in the in-box of Secretary of the Navy Jim Webb when he resigned, and there the award was stopped.

Ripley, who contracted hepatitis as a result of treating wounded Marines, and who is not in good health today, thoroughly deserves tthe MOH.
