City SAT Scores Lowest Since 2003

With the wave of immigration from third-world nations, there just some cultures which do not place an emphasis towards education. Take, for example, the Mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio Villarigossa, who said openly "We clean your toilets!" Obviously, how can a political leader who emphasizes achievement by comparing it to menial labor, hope to encourage students to achieve academically. The same holds true to Mayor Bloomberg's giving money to ambivilent parents cash incentives to do what parents are supposed to do. This atmosphere of mediocrity is a far cry from the European immigrants who came to this country in the early Twentieth Century, who did whatever was necessary to get their children educated!

Suffice it to say that the "graduates" of today's New York City public school system will be cleaning my childrens' toilets. Either that, or they will be populating the jail and prison systems.
