My son checked in a luggage containing Nintendo Wii console at JFK Jet blue terminal.

The Console was stolen from the luggage together with other game equipment.

Somehow, they were able to pin point the luggage and the items they were looking for.

I know that TSA is scanning luggages at the airport.

If someone is removing items from luggages, can't they also place items in a luggage compromising the security of the aircraft. How can luggages not be secured, once you turned it to the airline? How come the public does not know?
