A Perfect Pairing

As it happens, Mariss Jansons and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra are presenting the same programme at the Royal Albert Hall in London on August 30, as a part of the 2007 Promenade Concerts Season. The programme will be broadcast live by BBC3 and will be available on demand at the BBC3 website for a week after the initial broadcast:

August 30, 2007:
19:30 - 21:45

Prom 62

Honegger
Symphony No.3, 'Symphonie liturgique'
Beethoven
Symphony No.9 in D minor, 'Choral'
Krassimira Stoyanova soprano
Lioba Braun mezzo-soprano
Michael Schade tenor
Michael Volle bass
Bavarian Radio Symphony Chorus
Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra
Mariss Jansons conductor

After reading Mr. Nordlinger's account of the performance in Salzburg, I am looking forward to hearing the concert from the Albert Hall, via the internet.
