At the risk of sounding too contemptuous of psychologists as a whole, I still would be intrigued at watching the reaction if their gathering in San Francisco was successfully targeted by Islamic terrorists. Such observation would be even more intriguing if we could have a control group gathering of an equal amount of psychologists at the same time, say in Rio Linda; about 75 miles to the northeast of San Francisco This way we could better quantify the reactions of each grouping. The experimental group's reaction should be quite revealing. Perhaps then some common sense might filter though the APA's ivory tower.
