I wonder how Gen. Lynch knows that these fighters are from the IRGC. I don't think the Iranian's are that stupid to be parading around in official uniform inside Iraq.

The only way an Iranian can be told from an Iraqi is from their dialect. But then again, thousands of Iraqis fled the country to Iran during the Saddams time and had been living there for decades, and have probably picked up an Iranian dialect.

And then there are freelance Iranians who are dedicated to spreading she'it Islamic rule to Iraq and might be crossing the boarder on their own accord to help the she'it militia.

Maybe captives are saying that they work for the IRGC (after a few rounds of waterboarding). But then again sunni militia may be declaring themselves as IRGC members because they find that anything else is considered the "wrong answer" by Americans.

Moreover, I don't see how the Iranians gain from destabilizing Iraq at the moment when a majority she'it government is already in power.
