Remember Aliyah Bet

Hillel Halkin writes a needful reminder of the heroic dispair of refugees who had nothing left to lose but their lives. Some hundreds, sailing from France were successful, but the few ships crammed with those who only made it to Rumania or Turkey went down, sabotaged?, with all onboard. That is another forgotten story. Please remind us, Mr, Halkin.

Note to ed. I no longer remember the name of the Rumanian woman who worked ,,so hard with a frantic refugee (who later published in Israel). Sorry, I'm an old lady!
