Mr. Giuliani has made comments that the Democrats are weak on terror and that we can expect more terrorist attacks under a Democratic president. Mr. Giuliani is failing to recognize that the Republican leadership is and has been directly responsible for the rise of terrorism. Ronald Reagan failed to respond to terrorism in the eighties when our Marine barracks were bombed. Reagan failed to address Iran long before they were cultivating nuclear weapons, when they were snatching hostages in the Middle East using surrogates. Mr. Giuliani didn't protest Bush's failure to take a meeting on Osama bin Laden months before September 11, 2001. Mr. Giuliani didn't protest Bush's failure to make bin Laden and Al Qaeda a priority. Mr. Giuliani didn't protest Bush's withholding of resources from Afghanistan for the War In Iraq. Mr. Giuliani didn't protest Bush's invasion of Iraq. Mr. Giuliani hasn't protested the 'staying the course' strategy that has failed so miserably. Mr. Giuliani claims to be for the American people but he isn't protesting Bush's and the Republican leadership's Undeclared War On The Contitution with the warrantless and unsupervised wiretapping. Mr. Giuliani hasn't mentioned that his firm works for energy corporations who are driving the prices up and as a result, are hurting the average American consumer. Mr. Giuliani is firmly in the pockets of the energy companies, like Bush is in the pockets of the oil industry. The last thing we need is another American president who puts the needs of the few before the needs of the many.
