Bonds's Best Game Is Playing Victim

Such as this column. I don't subscribe to the hyperbole that many critics use that Bond's chemical enhancement is the scourge of all that is great in baseball, but it certainly is a black eye on the sport. I feel it's far too kind to just say that Bonds was just trying to level the playing field. He didn't want to make things fair, he wanted to be known as the greatest. Sadly, as you pointed out, he probably could have without breaking (or violiting the spirit of) the rules.

I wonder how you stand on the topic of Bonds and the armor he wears on his right arm. There have been a few looks recently at how the development of bonds "elbow guard" appears to have helped his swing mechanics, and givne him a mechanical advantage above and beyond what a normal guard and drugs might have given.

With all that being said, I would really like to applaud the thought and eloquence with which you write. In today's modern landscape of sports journalism, where often it's not the best, but the loudest voices that gets print, your writing stands out as well spoken and well thought out. As such, I'd just like to give you kudos on the excellent work you do, keep up the great work.
