Thank you for your interesting review. As a New York resident -- born and raised in Italy -- I find the stuzzichini trend a welcome addition to the New York dining scene. However, I must correct you on one thing: stuzzicare does not mean to pick. It means to titillate, as in titillate the palate. In fact a well-known Italian saying is "stuzzicare l'appetito", to whet the appetite.

Forgive me for this impromptu grammar lesson in Italian, but it also an opportunity to say "grazie" for your article.
