how will NYC continue its rise as a great "college town" ? Columbia ,NYU and Fordham ave seen their admissions pool dramatically increase in the past 10 years . these institutions are vital to the economic and intellectual growth of the city the nation and the world. columbia university has remained in its original morning-side heights campus through tumultuous times and has always been part of the community. these institutions have always been inclusive to the surrounding community through a vast array of programs and events to further the enrichment of new yorkers. it is only fair that Fordham , on of the worlds most prominent jesuit institutions of higher learning be allowed to expand . its vision of academic excellence in its schools of law , social service, education and business are held back by its limited classroom space and outdated facilities. unfortunately its rose hill campus is primarily used for undergraduate students . sorry that some of the residents of the alfred s views will be disrupted by a bustling academic institution with a long term commitment to both the lincoln center area and nyc. perhaps many of them are jealous of the outstanding experience at New York's Jesuit University.
