It's Time for Nets To Pull the Trigger on the Big Trade

The Odom trade is a wash and isn't going to move the needle from 43-39. His durability is not unblemished either. O'Neal for RJ and Krstic alone is too expensive, let alone the supposed ask JO brings 3 points, 3 boards and 2 blocks more than Krstic. Is that worth RJ? I don't think so. O'Neal is overrated & lucky to be playing in the Eastern Conference. Plus with Mikki gone, trading Krstic and Collins leaves you with Boone as your 4 and that isn't going to happen. Gasol plays a lot like Krstic so there too a trade of Krstic and another stud for Gasol is too expensive. KG is the only one worth those kind of asks but you are right there is no chance. He'll opt out and go to Phx or LA for 08-09.

Also you criticize situations in which Boki gets the last shot, but you keep trying to trade RJ and you dislike 'Toine ,so who will play the 3?

With Brevin Knight free, I had hoped they would sign him and make a trade with Atl involving Marcus Williams for a surplus 4 down there, but with Acie Law down there that won't happen.

This team is better than 43-39 if fully healthy and the leaders focus on the court and not their personal lives for all 82 games. They lost 7 games last year where, had they simply shot 80% from the line, they would have won (fyi, games 19,28,41-43,48 & 49). Shoot free throws at 80%, add in health and focus and they can go over 50 games.
