in response to reader comment: Spitzer Opposed to Medicine?

Submitted by John, Jul 23, 2007 14:26

I really hope that Gov. Spitzer doesnt make the same tragic choice that CT Gov. Rell chose, putting politics ahead of the needs of suffering individuals, I am hopeful, I have been suffering with CONSTANT chronic pain of MS for 11 years, and i KNOW the truth about the efficacy of marijuana, and put aside the addictive, and gateway lies, i smoked when i was 13 for the first time, smoked on and off leisurely for nearly 30 years, and i do NOT do ANY other drugs, prescription or otherwise, though they DID have me on Oxycontin, Vicoden, Morphine, Fentanyl patches (opium) etc etc etc, ALL with thier own list of side effects, ALL adictive, and all of which i wound up increasing my own dosage of, self medicating as i built a tolerance, and the pain relief became void, i am confident, i would have DIED on these drugs that kept me "zombified" had i not gotten myself clean of them ( a painful process in itself), i can hit on a joint....and literally within 30 seconds, this RELIEF!!!...washes over my body like a wave, its like youve been holding your breathe FOREVER, and you can FINALLY exhale...WHY would anyone deny people a medicine that helps them!!??
