Revisiting Ground Zero in ‘Aftermath'

I did not know about this book until this article but am certain it is a book I will purchase. We can not forget what happened on 9/11 and it's aftermath!!! This was a hateful terrorist attack on our country, our way of life and on our people who value life, liberty & the pursuit of happiness!!! Our people are a melting pot...we came from all over the world with many different cultures, religions, and ideas & hope for a better life! I love the fact that we are a diverse people and that in the end we are AMERICANS, not just hypenated Americans! We embrace where our ancestors came from & their culture is part of us but especially after 9/11 we should stand UNITED as AMERICANS and remember that their are people out there who HATE us and want to see all of us DEAD plus we need to remember that there were many people from other countries who died in this horrific attack as well! So remember ALL of the victums... those who died, those families left behind to cope with the death of loved ones, those who courageously answered the call to help during & after the attacks, and even those who survived the attacks! I am a critical care nurse and was working that day so I only saw what was happening as I went from patient room to patient room! It was hard to work that 12+ hour day but patient care came first and watching this horror in bits & pieces was difficult. I am relieved that someone had the foresight to photogragh the carnage, the spirit of people working together to save lives and then to begin the gruesome task of cleaning up and showing those who HATE US and want to KILL US that the AMERICAN SPIRIT IS ALIVE & STRONG!!!! Thank you for the article and the book!!! WE HAVE TO REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED THAT DAY!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA & THE PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD WHO CRIED WITH US & STAND AGAINST THIS EVIL!!!!!!!
