In Gun Fight, Bloomberg Raises Profile but Fails To Win Votes

Submitted by Don Broome, Jul 17, 2007 13:26

Michael Bloomberg has been playing this scare tactic game of "the guns are coming, the guns are coming" for so long, its very akin the "cry wolf" story. He, and all other anti-gun proponents are desperately trying to circumvent the 2nd Amendment, without taking the issue to court. He is a very wealthy individual who somehow feels his money can buy anything, i.e., his failed TV ads. He is arrogant; he is bullish; he felt that getting all the mayors of America would, somehow, intimidate the rest of America into seeing just how God-Awful this gun problem was. NOT! If Mr. Bloomberg, and others of his ilk, would pool their financial resources, and use these funds for enforcement of the THOUSANDS of "gun laws" already on the books of every city, county, state and The Federal Judiciary.

There was a time in our nation when "swift, sure punishment" was not just a slogan, but sort of a certainty. Unfortunately, those times have gone with the wind. So all the people in this nation who support Mr. Bloomberg's attitude toward gun possession are saying "We don't seem to be having much success in either controlling gun-ownership or gun-possession, so, as an alternative, LET'S TAKE ALL THE GUNS AWAY FROM EVERY LAW-ABIDING CITIZEN IN THE USA, AND OUR PROBLEM WILL BE SOLVED. That is exactly what was done in Great Britain, and in Australia. Go on line and check their crime rate; do the same with the UK. Now that is done. Quiz time - who are left with guns - of every type? ANSWER - those who chose to ignore the law; the ones you and I call "the criminal element". You are told the "police" are there to protect you. SUCH A BALD-FACE LIE! They are not there to protect you or me; they are there to keep the public peace, to protect the public, and respond to crimes.
