if this guy is surprised that biologists tend to be less religious (it's almost impossible for a research biologist to be a creationist, so fundamentalists tend to gravitate towards other disciplines) then he's not a very knowledgeable religion researcher. He seems pretty keen to suggest ways in which researchers might have irrational reasons for their lack of belief ... none so blind as those with axes to grind.
