the guy is below .500 since the start of last year, is barely above league average ERA in that time and his strikeout rate has plummeted this year. He's gonna be 36 next year and lefties that don't learn how to switch from strikeout based throwers to being "crafty" don't last long past age 35.

$16M for that means that to trade him, the receiving team will ask for 6-8M of that to be eaten by the Yankees, as that is his value at the moment on the market....
